Death Sentence for 23 yr. Old Journalist
There is a young journalist condemned to Death for downloading an aricle about Muslim practices from the internet. He was tried in Afghanistan without a lawyer, any family present, or any support. The Afghan court ruled his internet activity blaphemous and gave him the death sentence. It seems the article which he downloaded and passed out to his friends questioned the Muslim practice of Muslim men having 4 wifes but Muslim women could not have 4 husbands. My good friend from CA. called last night and it seems he went snow boarding. Being a novice to the sport he fell about 30 times & broke a rib.He is one more wild and crazy person so I was extremely happy he didn't break his neck. It seems a woman in CA. put a hit contract out over Craigslist to kill some woman. she offered $5,000. and gave the woman's name, work address, age & weight. She's in jail this morning, LOL. Boy, how dumb can you get? Well, our power went off around 1am. It's a good thing I keep it too warm in here (for Johnny) because it was off several hours. My air purifier kicking back on woke me up in the early morning hours. Have a beautiful Sunday and remember to chill, relax, and de-stress. This is a formula I have to use constantly....I'm having a big test Tuesday so I got to go cram!!! Then the stress will come back, LOL.

As a woman who has been legally married three times when I overheard a couple of ladies talking in the check-out line this morning saying that "third time is the charm" I felt fully qualified to respond with "NO, that's a lie" They asked me if it was 'cause by the third time I knew better and I had to truthfully say "NO, I knew better the first time --I was just younger, more stupid, and more bored."

Secret Service Knocked On My Door Today
Wow, what a strange day this has been. Had a physical therapist, a nurse who found the drugstore gave my hubby the wrong medication and that is why he has been in a stupor all week, and THEN the S.L.E.D. secret service division of counter terrorism knocked on my door. First they went to my neighbor's house and he called me to tell me when there was a knock on my door. They asked about a neighbor -female-who evidently had sent the President of the United States a Xmas card. That's the reason they came anyway as that is what they told me. They asked if I was surprised that they were here and I answered "Damn, right, it's not everyday the secret service knocks." They told me that is what they wanted to hear instead of " No, why haven't you been here sooner." My sister said that the neighbor who sent the xmas card might of threatened or even put something in the card. Never a good thing when the law shows up unless I call for them. They ask if I knew her and if I thought it strange she sent the card and if I had heard any noises from her house since she and her son have been gone all day.I told them anyone who sent the current President a card was strange, LOL. Strange Day Indeed.

A Little Snow
We got just enough snow to barely cover the pavement and the grass is clear of snow. I realize many people in other areas of our great country would say "count your blessings" but I bought a shovel to dig my way out, LOL. Alas, no digging in the snow today but man, oh, man is it cold here with the low temp. being 14 degrees and for Carolina that is cold .My golden Mattie couldn't even take the cold for very long this morning as she stays inside most of the time, except when I let her out to get into trouble. She spotted a huge ditch a couple of weeks ago with muddy water and even though I had her on the leash either I had to let go or go swimming in the deep ditch with her. Mattie seems to walk me instead of me walking her.
